Even If.
Not your regular 'February-Valentine' Newsletter, but a timely word regardless.
It has been longer than a minute here and for quite good reasons: I was in the beginning era of serving my fatherland.
Regardless, I owe you a newsletter for this month and here it is!☺️

Some days back, I was scrolling through someone's story on social media, and the background song playing was something like, 'Na the God wey open doors for me, na Him I go praise o'. I honestly don't know who sang it, so there are definitely no shades here.
For those who don't understand pidgin, it simply translates: the God that can make things work in my favor is the God that I will praise.
Pause. Pause again.
But what happens if God doesn't open our doors? We leave Him?
First off, I feel disturbed by the fact that some of our danceable (also likable) songs have little to no biblical substance. But that's probably for another day.🙏🏾
What will your reaction be when God doesn't open the very door you want?
These questions are necessary for both our conscious and subconscious so that when we eventually face times when we are tempted to disbelieve God's faithfulness, we won't.
Not because we're necessarily happy about the situation or because we enjoy suffering but really because even if God doesn't or wouldn't, we will still follow Him.
Every one of us who believes in Christ must come to the point where it is undeniably settled in our hearts that even if God slays us, we will trust Him.
Psalms 103:1 - Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Psalms 103:2 - Praise the LORD, I tell myself, and never forget the good things he does for me.
A few years ago, I saw a quote like this that shook me for a minute:
“…And even if Christianity becomes a fluke tomorrow,
I'll be a fool to follow.”
Even if, someone comes up to me with "strong" reasons why I don't need to trust God as much as I should, I'll still be a fool to follow.
Not because I don't like to reason with my mind but because I have seen too much of God to suddenly disbelieve Him.
There are some things I can't un-see! You and I have seen enough to make us still trust God.
God is worth our commitment.
I know it's easier said than done. I know you may think I don't know half of what you've been through so I'm blabbing. I wish I could agree but everyone has at one point in their lives had their fair share of troubles.
But here's what I believe: God will keep showing us reasons to remain grateful and to remember how good He is, no matter how much suffering we may seem to endure.
No matter how many disappointments come our way, let us still praise God.
Let us not forget God for who He is, at the core of His being for some light afflictions that come our way.
My dear audience, come rain or sun, can you agree with me to believe that:
Even if situations fail, God won't.
Even if people fail, God won't.
Even if fail-proof systems or structures fail, God won't.
Even if your understanding fails, God won't.
Even if your Valentine expectations failed, God definitely won't.
Even if those doors don't open in the manner and timeframe we desire them to, God remains good. Always good. Only good.
Let me know what you think.❤️

I think sometimes alot of us believers seek God for what we can gain and that's why when the storm of life comes, people drift because their faith wasn't built on a foundation of God's love. Thank you so much for this✨.
Can I just zoom in a bit on the aspect of Christian songs these days?
A lot of songs these days lack theological truth.
It’s mostly just ‘beats’ and ‘vibes’.
God help us be discerning and filter out normalized nonsense. Amen!🙏🏾
